The
City of Falls Church is a unique and historic city. Besides featuring
quick access to renowned museums and art galleries in nearby Washington,
DC, almost every neighborhood is a treasure of its own with a variety
of restaurants and shops that reflect the City’s great ethnic and
cultural diversity.
The City operates under the Council-Manager form of government
and is one of the two geographically smallest cities in Virginia,
at only 2.2 square miles. The City is known for its urban village
community, quality customer service, nationally ranked school system,
environmental activism, and endless community activities.
The
City is located only six miles from the Nation’s Capital inside
the Capital Beltway and has easy access to Interstate 66. The East
Falls Church and West Falls Church Metrorail stations and other
forms of public transportation make commuting easy.
The Economic Development Office assists businesses interested in
opening in the City of Falls Church, supports the long-term success
and growth of established businesses, and serves as a liaison between
local government and the business community. Information about available
commercial space, local demographics, market conditions, the Technology
Zone tax abatement program, and Industrial Revenue Bond financing
is available at developfallschurch.org.
